October to May is the best time to visit Calangute Beach. It is crowded all the time because of watersports, sunbath, and shacks and shopping. From June to first week of October it is raining in Goa. So it is less crowded during that time. In Monsoon beach is empty, no water sports, no shacks and no night life available during monsoon.
How to go around Calangute?
You can rent a bike from Calangute and can explore near by places by Bike. Or you can rent a Car also. There are lots of options to hire a self drive car and go anywhere in Goa.
